A Walk Through My Past

 

     I come from a small town near the Central Coast of California called Orcutt. I was born in Santa Barbara and love being near the ocean. Growing up, I held many a wide variety of positions including Lifeguard, Retail Sales Clerk, Tutor, Marketing  and Administrative Assistant.  As a lifeguard, I learned how to make decisions quickly while under the pressure of people's lives being in my hands. Through my work in retail and loss prevention, I gained experience of how to play an diverse roles in a team oriented towards a common goal. Over the past eight years, I have tutored many students in every Mathematics course from Pre-Algebra to Calculus, as well as Physics, Chemistry, Anthropology, and Political Science. My most favorite occupation I have upheld is being a tutor because I love connecting with people and figuring out what learning style suits them best. Once you understand how someone thinks, what makes them tick, becomes easier to convey information to them and help them adopt skills that will benefit them throughout their life. This is one of my greatest pleasures and I take pride in how successful I have been.
